John Rewers (aka JR)

Thinking it is time for a new bio. Yes, I started late in this new music career of mine, but I have been going great guns since my start in 2011. From that point, I have written thirty some odd songs, recorded and posted two of those on You Tube, and created my first CD consisting of ten original tunes.

I count myself as being extremely lucky in my life as I have made so many friends through my hockey, golf, and baseball hobbies. Friends and family through my accounting profession. And now a new family of friends in my music world.

With a few guitar lessons and a few vocal lessons behind me, I have taken to performing on stage as much as I possibly can. I love performing live. This year, I performed in 33 events from community and charity music festivals to farmers markets to seniors’ residences. A few of these events, I was called in last minute to cover for other musicians who had to cancel due to illness. I find comfort in knowing that various hosts can call me last minute and they can count on me to provide music services.

I look forward to the day I can update my bio with all sorts of exciting news around performing at festivals, doing a tour, and releasing more of my original works into the world.
